Scan Assistant

Numi Scan Newcastle (Gosforth & Gateshead)

Job Type: Zero-hours ContractPay: £12.71 per hour

Numi Scan is an award-winning, CQC-registered private pregnancy ultrasound clinic dedicated to delivering exceptional care and outstanding customer service.

The Role

As a Scan Assistant, you will support our sonographers and help ensure every patient receives a safe, professional and memorable experience.

Main Responsibilities

Assist sonographers during ultrasound appointments.
Prepare and maintain scan rooms and clinical equipment.
Welcome and prepare patients for their appointments.
Support reception duties, bookings and telephone enquiries.
Print scan photographs, reports and gender reveal keepsakes.
Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment.
Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care.
Provide reassurance and emotional support during sensitive situations.
Complete administrative tasks and support the daily running of the clinic.

About You

You will have:

A warm, friendly and approachable personality.
Excellent spoken and written English with confident communication skills.
Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
Good computer literacy and confidence using digital systems.
The ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure in a busy clinic.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
A caring, professional and positive attitude.
The ability to follow clinical procedures accurately and maintain confidentiality.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and across both clinic locations when required.

Previous healthcare experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
