Full job description

Our Company
Established in 1973, we are global leaders in the Development and Application of specialised coatings to Polyester and Polypropylene base material for a wide range of printed applications. Operating from our site in Penryn, we supply material to customers and partners worldwide.

Purpose and Scope

Responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance of accurate accounting records and financial administration, helping to ensure strong financial control across the business.

Reports to

Group Accountant

Hours

Full time (37.5 Per Week)
Monday to Friday

Start time between 08:00 and 08:30

Location

Penryn, Cornwall. 100% office based.

Qualifications / skills required

The ideal candidate may hold or be studying for AAT or an equivalent qualification and will have experience of working within a finance team.

We are looking for someone with experience relevant to the duties and key responsibilities of this role, together with the following attributes:

Strong IT skills, including Excel
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication at all levels
Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
Experience using Sage 200 would be advantageous

Duties and key responsibilities

Maintaining the purchase ledger, including processing supplier invoices and payments
Processing employee expenses and company credit cards
Daily processing of bank transactions across multiple currencies
Weekly bank reconciliations
Reconciling purchase ledger and sales ledger accounts
Preparing monthly BACS payment runs and ad-hoc payments
Posting journals as required
Supporting credit control procedures
Assisting with month-end processes and general administration
