Carer / Trainee Relief Duty Manager

Schedule:

Two-week rolling rota of 8-hour and 7-hour shifts (7:00am–3:00pm and 3:00pm–10:00pm)
Contracted hours per week
Weekend availability required
Overtime opportunities available
Full driving licence

An Exciting Career Development Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen within our team at Perran Bay Care Home for a kind, caring and ambitious individual who is looking to develop their career within the care sector.

This role is ideal for a Carer who is keen to progress. While your primary role will be providing high-quality care and support to our residents, you will also be given training, mentoring and hands-on experience to develop the skills required to be a Relief Duty Manager alongside the Carer role.

As part of your development journey, we will support you to achieve your Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, while providing opportunities to gain leadership experience by covering Duty Manager responsibilities during periods of annual leave, sickness and rostered/contracted weekend duty manager shifts.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build a long-term career in care.

About the Role

Deliver person-centred care and support to our residents.
Promote residents' independence, dignity and wellbeing.
Work flexibly across shifts as part of our care team.
Receive training and support to develop supervisory and leadership skills.
Gain practical experience undertaking Relief Duty Manager responsibilities when required.
Work towards a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care, fully supported by us.

About You

You are kind, compassionate and genuinely care about making a difference to the lives of older people.
Previous care experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
You are motivated to learn, develop new skills and progress your career.
You have a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
You hold a full driving licence.
