Overview

Join our dynamic team as an MOT Tester and Mechanic, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance through thorough testing and expert repairs. Responsibilities

Conduct MOT tests in accordance with legal standards, accurately assessing vehicle safety, emissions, and roadworthiness
Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, identifying faults and recommending necessary repairs or maintenance
Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs, replacements, and adjustments
Assist with general mechanical repairs, including brake work, suspension checks, engine diagnostics, and tire replacements
Handle heavy lifting safely when moving or installing vehicle parts or equipment
Maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and test results in compliance with industry regulations
Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards

Experience

Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working on a variety of vehicles
Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools effectively in a fast-paced environment
Experience performing MOT tests is highly desirable but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair tasks
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
Prior experience working in an automotive workshop or service center is preferred but not mandatory
