Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plantation Shutters and Blinds Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing a variety of window coverings, ensuring precise fitting and customer satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in construction-related trades or those eager to develop their skills in a specialised installation environment. The position involves working on-site at residential and commercial properties, delivering high-quality craftsmanship and professional service.

Responsibilities

Measure windows accurately to determine the correct size and fit of shutters and blinds
Install plantation shutters, window blinds, and related fixtures using appropriate tools and techniques
Ensure all installations are level, secure, and aesthetically pleasing
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, or installation instructions
Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on product options
Maintain a clean, safe work environment during and after installations
Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment on-site
Troubleshoot installation issues and adapt techniques as necessary to meet specifications

Skills

Proven experience with construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, or general building work
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, or installation guides
Experience with roofing, plumbing, electrical work, welding, plastering, or construction painting is advantageous but not essential
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good physical fitness to handle lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights safely
Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
