Due to continued growth, DC Services seek a skilled ICT Support Engineer / ICT Technician to join our friendly team, providing on-site and remote support to a range of businesses throughout the North East.
If you're an IT professional with broad technical and problem-solving ability, great communication skills, a positive attitude and enjoy going the extra mile for customers then this job is for you. We require a high level of customer service as well as broad technical ability to ensure our customers not only have their IT issues resolved, but feel comfortable and happy with our service.
The successful candidate will need a full driver's licence and be prepared to travel to various locations throughout the North East at any given time.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will install, support, maintain, repair and manage ICT hardware, software and peripheral equipment and provide technical support to a wide range of clients via telephone, remote login and onsite.
- Support the implementation of new applications.
- Ensure that IT assets are well managed and that asset records are up to date.
- Maintain accurate manual and electronic records relating to all work carried out.
- Ensure effective information security.
- Do research, testing, and development on new technologies.
- Work in collaboration with colleagues on major incident recovery.
- Implement and test backup/recovery services.
- Provide support for Microsoft Office 365 and MS SharePoint.
The successful candidate will need to:
- Demonstrate commitment to provide high levels of customer service.
- Maintain positive relationships with all customers and ensure a consistently high level of support.
- Have a flexible work approach and the ability to prioritise work.
- Have a Full UK driving license and transport.
- Demonstrate problem solving skills, required to investigate, interpret and maintain a secure and customer focused support service.
- Continue to develop your IT skills and keep abreast of the latest technologies. Use your ongoing development to support and provide feedback to further enhance existing or new systems.
