We are looking for Learning Facilitator's to work across our Music, Performance and Art and Design departments based at our Baltic Campus. We are looking for a pro-active, inspiring and caring individuals who can motivate and encourage students to make excellent progress towards their academic and career ambitions.
As a Learning Facilitator, you will offer excellent pastoral, learning and general support to learners. You are the heart of the department, liaising closely with teachers to track and monitor progress, as well as providing group and one-to-one support to learners. You will support the development of learner’s personal, social and work ready skills through tutorials covering a range of topics including hot topics such as developing resilience, knife crime, county lines. You will also be required to support the curriculum leader and manager to improve learner punctuality, attendance, retention, achievement and success.
This is a key position within the department, requiring an individual who has a strong industry background, a strong work ethic and a passion for developing our future workforce. We are looking for a dynamic, pro-active and inspiring individual who can motivate our learners to make excellent progress towards their academic and career ambitions. As such, you will be required to liaise with employers to negotiate appropriate placements for business students and will visit learners on site to monitor attendance.
You must be inspiring, dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic with excellent communication, digital and organisational skills. You must also be able to plan effectively and meet deadlines set. It would be a bonus if you had had some experience in mentoring, coaching or teaching young people.
If you have a teaching or assessing qualification that would be great but if you don’t and are willing to work towards this, we can support you in doing so.
