Full job description

We're growing our team at our Thornbury supported living house and have full-time and part-time hours available. We're particular about who joins us — we don't take every case, and we build small, steady teams around the people we support. If you have the right values, we'll teach you the rest; no care experience needed.

You'd be joining a provider rated Good by the CQC and certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 — standards almost no home-support employer holds. No agency workers, no call centre, senior-led. That means stability: the same colleagues, the same person you support, and proper training and supervision behind you.

The hours

Our Thornbury house is staffed around the clock on an 11am–11am pattern, with full-time and part-time shifts available. Every hour is paid at your full hourly rate — there are no sleep-in shifts here. You're paid properly for all the time you're with us, with guaranteed contracted hours, not zero-hours.

The pay — and how it grows

No experience: £12.71 per hour. Experienced / NVQ Level 2: £13.21 per hour. NVQ Level 3: £13.71 per hour. Plus time-and-a-half on bank holidays. We fund your Care Certificate and NVQ, and your pay rises as you qualify — a real route up, not a flat rate.

What you'd do

Support one adult who lives independently to keep life on track — daily routines, cooking, budgeting, getting to appointments and activities, and building confidence and independence. This role involves no personal care. It's about being a steady, reliable presence and helping someone live the life they want.

This work asks a lot — there are hard days and real responsibility. It also genuinely changes how someone's life feels, and you're never doing it alone.

Who we're looking for

Kind, calm and reliable; respectful of the person's right to make their own choices; emotionally resilient; and a clear communicator. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are required for this role. An enhanced DBS check and two references are also required. We welcome career-changers and people returning to work.
