Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pub Manager to oversee daily operations of our wet led pub. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work independently and lead a team of staff.

This role involves hiring and training staff, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and driving the overall success of the establishment. Previous experience in pub/bar settings with supervising responsibilities is essential. Candidates must have a peronal licence SCPLH qualification.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all pub activities.
Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and oversee team performance to ensure high standards of service.
Organise staff cover for any team member who is off ill.
Oversee licensing compliance
Noise management during events and with the beer garden and external smoking areas.
Ensure the bar and cellar areas are well-stocked, clean, and organised at all times
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies to ensure uninterrupted service
Implement promotional / entertainment activities to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety policies
Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences
Proven supervising or team management experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Familiarity with serving procedures and hospitality industry practices
Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour suitable for guest interaction
Organise weekly live music events.
Do weekly change order at local post office.
Carry out beer line cleaning to maintain high quality product.

The pub is a local community establistment with approx 60% of the sales being draught beers. We have weekly Monday Club live music; a successful darts & doms team, and live sport. We have a large beer garden so can be significantly busier when the weather is good - so this requires flexibility with schedules.

Looking for someone to maintain and then add to the level of business through additional events.

Pay: £30,000.00 per year
