Full job description

Mechanic

We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and motivated Mechanic to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
Perform MOT preparation and repairs where required.
Replace and repair components including brakes, suspension, clutches, timing belts, exhausts, and engines.
Complete vehicle inspections and identify additional repair requirements.
Maintain accurate job records and complete paperwork efficiently.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and professional.

Requirements

Previous experience as a vehicle mechanic or automotive technician.
Relevant automotive qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred).
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence.
Excellent attention to detail and a positive, hardworking attitude.

Desirable

MOT Tester qualification (preferred but not essential).
Experience working with diagnostic software and modern vehicle systems.
