Full job description

Job Overview
Looking for freelance/part-time QS or Commercial Manager with experience in passive fire protection, drylining and refurbishment works. To oversee and manage commercial aspects of construction projects.

Duties

Prepare, analyse, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure cost control and profitability.
Conduct detailed quantity surveys to accurately measure and value work completed or in progress.
Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favourable terms while maintaining strong professional relationships.
Monitor project progress against budgets and schedules, identifying potential risks or overruns early.
Implement cost control measures and recommend corrective actions as necessary to keep projects within financial parameters.
Review contractual documents to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align financial strategies with project objectives.
Prepare detailed reports on financial status, variations, and claims clients.
Issuing invoices and quotes.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager within the passive fire protection.
Proficiency in industry-standard software for estimating, measurement, and project management.
Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with strong analytical abilities.
Relevant qualifications such as RICS accreditation or equivalent are highly desirable.

Pay: £33,299.75-£73,992.08 per year
