Managing Director – CloudiQS

About CloudiQS

CloudiQS is an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner focused exclusively on Amazon Web Services. We help organisations build, secure, optimise, operate and grow on AWS through outcome-led services backed by AWS funding programmes and deep technical expertise.

As we enter our next phase of growth, we are looking for an experienced Managing Director to lead the day-to-day operations of the business, allowing the Founder to focus on strategy, innovation, partnerships and long-term growth.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, you will take responsibility for the operational leadership of CloudiQS.

You will lead the business, drive commercial performance, build a high-performing leadership team and create a scalable operating model capable of supporting significant future growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role within a growing technology business. We are looking for someone who enjoys building companies, not simply managing established organisations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day running of CloudiQS.
Deliver revenue, profitability and growth targets.
Build and develop the leadership team.
Create operational excellence across sales, delivery and customer success.
Drive accountability through KPIs and weekly operating reviews.
Improve forecasting, reporting and business performance.
Work closely with the Founder to execute the long-term strategy.
Build scalable processes that support future growth.
Ensure an exceptional customer experience across every engagement.
Support recruitment, performance management and leadership development.
Develop a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.

What We are Looking For

We are interested in builders.

You have successfully scaled a technology, cloud, SaaS or professional services business and understand what it takes to grow a company from founder-led operations into a scalable organisation.

Ideally you will have:

Previous experience as a Managing Director, General Manager, Chief Operating Officer or equivalent executive leadership role.
Successfully scaled a technology or cloud business from approximately £1m to £10m+ revenue.
Full P&L ownership.
Experience leading sales, delivery, operations and finance.
Built and managed high-performing leadership teams.
Strong commercial and operational leadership.
Experience working closely alongside founders.
Experience building repeatable sales and operational processes.
Strong understanding of KPIs, forecasting and business performance.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Desirable

Experience within an AWS Partner, Microsoft Partner, Google Cloud Partner, MSP or cloud consultancy.
Understanding of cloud managed services.
Experience with recurring revenue businesses.
Experience working with strategic technology partnerships.
Experience with acquisitions, fundraising or investment.

Success in Your First 12 Months

You will be expected to:

Build a scalable operating model.
Improve sales execution and forecasting.
Increase customer retention and expansion.
Improve operational efficiency across the business.
Build a strong leadership culture.
Help grow CloudiQS towards the next stage of revenue growth.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a corporate executive role within a large enterprise.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working within a fast-moving founder-led business, is comfortable making decisions, rolling up their sleeves and helping build a company.
