Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Bread Baker to join a small team within our family run bakery.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of bread products in a professional bakery environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your baking expertise while contributing to high-quality food production. The ideal applicant will possess a passion for baking, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare doughs according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough dividers safely and efficiently.
Monitor baking processes to ensure products are baked to the correct colour, texture, and flavour.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations.
Assist with ingredient inventory management and stock rotation to minimise waste.
Follow all health and safety procedures during food preparation and baking activities.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a bakery operation is highly desirable.
Knowledge of cooking techniques, baking processes, and kitchen safety protocols.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
A passion for baking and a keen eye for detail in food presentation.
Relevant culinary or baking qualifications are preferred but not essential if accompanied by practical experience.
