Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support financial operations, assist with bookkeeping, and contribute to the organisation’s financial management processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their accounting skills within a dynamic environment, gaining valuable experience with recognised accounting software and financial services.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other relevant platforms.
Support accounts payable processes by processing invoices and reconciling payments.
Assist with financial reporting and bookkeeping tasks to ensure compliance with organisational policies.
Collaborate with senior accountants to prepare financial statements and reports.
Contribute to the organisation’s financial management by supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
Help in the review of transactions for accuracy and completeness.
Participate in mentoring programmes to develop professional skills within the finance team.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft.
Strong understanding of financial services and basic financial accounting principles.
Experience or familiarity with accounts payable processes and financial management tasks.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with an aptitude for teamwork and mentoring others.
Ability to adapt quickly to new software tools and organisational procedures. This role is ideal for candidates eager to grow their career in finance while contributing effectively to our organisation’s financial health through meticulous record keeping and support functions.

Pay: £15,000.00-£20,000.00 per month
