Location: Whitehorse Road, Croydon, CR0 2JG
Position: Lead Barber and Operating Partner
Working arrangement: Self-employed partnership opportunity

The Opportunity

We are searching for an exceptional, highly experienced barber to become the lead operating partner of a barber shop located on Whitehorse Road in Croydon.

This is not a standard barber vacancy, junior position or ordinary chair-rental arrangement. It is an opportunity for an ambitious barber to take control of a dedicated premises and build a highly successful barbering business without having to secure a commercial property independently.

The premises will be provided, while the successful partner will take responsibility for delivering outstanding barbering services and managing the day-to-day operation of the shop.

Full commercial terms will be discussed confidentially with suitable shortlisted candidates.

The Person We Are Looking For

We are looking for a genuinely elite barber who is already operating at a very high professional level.

You must have:

An established and transferable client base
A strong reputation for consistently excellent work
Expert ability in skin fades, tapers, beard shaping, scissor work and modern and traditional styles
Excellent customer service and client-retention skills
A professional portfolio demonstrating the quality of your work
Strong reviews, recommendations or client testimonials
The confidence to manage a barber shop independently
Experience managing bookings, payments, stock, hygiene and daily operations
A professional social-media presence or personal brand
The ambition to grow the shop into a leading barbering destination in Croydon
Reliability, discipline and a serious entrepreneurial mindset

We are not looking for an average barber. We want someone whose work, reputation and customer experience clearly distinguish them from other professionals in the industry.

Your Responsibilities

The successful partner will be expected to:

Deliver consistently premium barbering services
Bring and retain an existing client base
Attract new local customers
Manage appointments and walk-in customers
Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene
Manage stock, tools and barbering supplies
Provide excellent customer service
Handle customer concerns professionally
Promote the shop through social media, referrals and local marketing
Maintain accurate records of appointments and shop income
Protect and strengthen the reputation of the business
Take ownership of the shop’s daily performance and customer experience
