Full job description

Expiring: 14th June 2026

We have two very exciting openings within our production team! One vacancy is for our packing department, based in Walwyns castle, while the other is at our Labelling and Despatch site in Milford Haven.

Main Purpose of Role

As a Production Supervisor, you will lead by example to ensure your team are clear on the standards required for people and food safety, quality of work and that you direct and support them in achieving those standards.

There will be key performance indicators (KPIs) for you and your team that will include safety, quality, attendance, training delivery and plan attainment.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety standards are followed at all times
Work closely with QC and machine minder to ensure quality and safety standards within the factory.
Organise staff for the factory operation within the daily and weekly plan requirements Organise factory operations to ensure customer orders are met to the required quality and food safety standards
Ensure equipment is cleaned to the standards required
Maintain records as detailed in the quality system and standard operating procedures for those necessary to allow for the safe and efficient operation of Capstone’s activities
Check the condition of factory equipment ready for production and highlight where remedial work may be required
Ensure walk away standards are met at the end of each shift
Work off own initiative. Where necessary, escalate problems to management in a timely fashion.
Support and deliver the training of factory staff, with additional specialist help as and when required
Maintain and improve Good Manufacturing Practice standards with the factory with the team

Skills/Knowledge

IOSH Managing Safely
Food Safety level 2 essential, level 3 preferable (training can be provided)
Team leading experience
Leadership/Management qualification or certificate (or willingness to work towards)
HACCP level 2
Instructional techniques
IT skills
Communication skills
Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, seek feedback from internal audits and communicate with people of all levels
Knowledge and understanding of key equipment and process, including paperwork, within production areas.
