About Us

The Central Club & Institute is a long-standing, proud hub of the Cefn Fforest community. We provide a warm, safe, and friendly social space for our members and guests to gather, relax, and enjoy great entertainment. We are looking for a dedicated Bar Steward / Stewardess to join us and help maintain the welcoming atmosphere our club is known for.

The Role

As our Bar Steward / Stewardess, you will be the welcoming face of the Central Club. You will manage daily bar operations, serve drinks efficiently, and build great relationships with our members. This hands-on, on-site role is perfect for a reliable professional who takes pride in running a clean, organised, and friendly bar.

Core Responsibilities

Greet members warmly and provide excellent customer service.
Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks quickly and accurately.
Handle cellar management duties, including changing kegs and line cleaning.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and deliveries.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the bar and lounge.
Handle cash transactions securely using the till system.
Open and close the club, ensuring the building is secure.
Support club events, live entertainment nights, and community functions.
Onsite working at popular times (Saturday nights, Sunday mornings etc)

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience working in a pub, social club, or busy bar.
Good knowledge of cellar management and beer quality control.
Friendly, approachable personality with excellent communication skills.
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work without direct supervision.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Understanding of licensing laws and responsible alcohol service.
