Full job description

Established in 2013, Sapphire Utility Solutions has quickly become the partner of choice for many clients across the UK in our chosen markets.

We provide award winning services to the clean water, wastewater, gas, multi utilities and the highways sector. We are passionate about working alongside our client’s and partners to maintain the utility services essential to modern life throughout the UK.

About the Role:

The role is working alongside a HGV Grab Driver. It is desirable to have experience but if not we are also seeking a person with the interest and enthusiasm to learn and progress. Full training will be provided.

Location: Leyland/Warrington/Stockport

Hours: 50 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 06.30am-16.30pm (with a 30 min unpaid break)

Salary: £33,800 per annum (overtime paid at X1.5)

Responsibilities:

Working on site, as part of a team
Muck away operations
Assisting the grab driver with collecting and delivering aggregates
Good customer service skills are required as dealing with internal and external personnel
Complete all relevant paperwork associated with day-to-day tasks
Using a tablet for data collation
Assisting in backfilling, compacting trenches and patches (reinstatements)
Excellent housekeeping of the site, adhering to all health and safety policies.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

Civils experience
Knowledge of using a handheld tablet
NPORS
Banksman
Manual Handling
Emergency First Aid
NRSWA
EUSR National Water Hygiene
Asbestos Awareness
Slinger and Signaller
Abrasive Wheels
Drivers licence (desirable)
HGV Class 2 licence (desirable)
