Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Temporary Receptionist to provide exceptional front-desk support for our friendly office. This role involves managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be highly organised. This temporary position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your office experience and develop further administrative skills.

Responsibilities

Answer and direct incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette
Greet visitors courteously and assist with their enquiries
Process incoming invoices to be passed up to the Finance team
Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate meetings as required
Perform data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office
Maintain organised records and files both digitally and physically
Assist with general administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents
Support team members with clerical tasks to ensure efficient office operations
Handle mail distribution and manage incoming correspondence

Qualifications

Proven office experience or administrative background
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good typing speed and data entry accuracy
Demonstrated phone etiquette and professional communication abilities
Familiarity with clerical procedures and office management practices
Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive attitude during busy periods

This position requires a proactive individual who is reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a professional work environment. Prior experience in an administrative or reception role will be highly regarded.

This is a temporary position expected to last from July to September.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
