Job Purpose:

Delivering over the Counter Services in an efficient and courteous manner at George Street Office Branch.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a cash till in Sterling and Foreign Currency.
Process cash deposits and withdrawals in GBP and foreign currencies while ensuring all transactions are accurately processed and are completed in accordance with the bank's procedures (using Teller's system).
Deliver a professional, efficient, and customer-focused cashier service while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Assisting in completing screenings (adverse media and world checks) on cash transactions by third parties, as requested by clients.
Verify that all required approvals are obtained for cash transactions exceeding applicable thresholds, including AML and Financial Crime approvals where required.
Accept cheque deposits, internal transfer requests liaising with Retail Operations to process and credit customer accounts.
Assist and provide guidance to the customers with the bank's ITM services.
Balance daily cash holdings and reconcile tills in accordance with branch procedures.
Ensure the secure custody and handling of debit cards held within the branch.
Maintain the branch register for debit cards and PINs held in the branch, ensuring secure storage, accurate record keeping, and that uncollected cars are securely destroyed in line with our internal procedures.
Maintain the Branch safe Deposit register.
Support Relationship Managers with debit card activations when required.
Review account block codes and account status prior to processing transactions, ensuring any concerns or required actions are referred to the appropriate department or to the relationship manager.
Assist NBK Kuwait customers by liaising with colleagues in Kuwait to facilitate banking requests for clients visiting NBKI (or via telephone).
Liaise with the Branch Manager to request cash orders where required, ensuring appropriate cash levels are maintained to support branch operations.
Updating information for MIS/Statistical Reporting.
Assist with filing at the Branch.
Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the branch manager or deputy manager.
Maintain confidentiality and follow internal procedures, including avoiding any disclosure that could constitute tipping off clients in case of adverse media of financial crime concerns.
Identify and promptly escalate any suspicious client activity in line with the bank's policies and procedures.

Qualification & Experience

Previous experience within a similar environment.
Demonstrate a good level of ability in both English and Mathematics.
Demonstrate a good level of ability Arabic (reading, written and spoken).
P.C. literate, particularly Excel (up to but not including Macros).
