Head Junior Coach, Springvale Cricket Club

We are looking for an organised, reliable and ambitious individual to become the Head Junior Coach at Springvale Cricket Club based in Bilston, Wolverhampton

This is a unique opportunity to play an integral role in developing and growing a new junior cricket section, while being fully supported by Jaguar Cricket — a company with proven experience in junior cricket development.

The successful candidate will become the lead coach for the club’s junior section and the main coaching point of contact between Jaguar Cricket and Springvale CC. They will work closely with the club’s Junior Coordinator to help deliver a professional, enjoyable and well-organised junior programme.

The Role

The Head Junior Coach will:

Be passionate about cricket, cricket coaching and developing young people
Lead junior cricket sessions on Friday evenings
Organise session delivery and volunteer coaches
Communicate regularly with parents
Work closely with the club’s Junior Coordinator
Help build a positive and ambitious junior cricket environment
Support the continued growth of the junior section
Be committed to their development as a coach – being open to and seeking out feedback is an essential part of working with Jaguar Cricket
Confident working with children aged 5 - 16

There will also be opportunities to:

Deliver 1-to-1 coaching sessions
Run holiday cricket camps
Take on additional coaching work in the future

Essential Requirements

Playing experience and understanding of cricket
Available on Friday evenings throughout the cricket season
Available during school holidays
Organised and reliable with strong admin skills
Comfortable communicating directly with parents
Computer literate and confident using technology
Passion for developing young cricketers
Enhanced DBS

Desirable

Previous coaching experience
Experience working in schools or child-facing environments
ECB coaching qualifications
Knowledge of the South Staffordshire league system
Experience leading sessions or managing groups
This role would particularly suit someone with experience working in schools or child-facing environments.

· Coaching experience is an advantage but not essential for the right candidate.

Earning Potential

This role includes a performance and bonus-based earning structure, designed to reward the successful growth and development of the junior section.

Alongside sessional coaching pay, the successful candidate will have opportunities to increase earnings through:

Holiday camps
1-to-1 coaching
Additional coaching work
Growth and development of the junior programme

Pay: £120.00-£2,500.00 per month
