Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a <PERSON>. This role involves hands-on work in landscape maintenance, gardening, and construction-related tasks. The successful candidate will contribute to the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces, utilising a variety of tools and equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those with a passion for horticulture, mechanical work, and outdoor maintenance to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Duties

Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal of outdoor areas.
Operate power tools such as hedge trimmers, lawnmowers, and blowers safely and efficiently.
Use hand tools for planting, digging, edging, and general garden care.
Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality.
Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for larger landscaping or construction projects.
Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Assist with construction tasks related to outdoor structures or features as required.
Support gardening activities including soil preparation, planting beds, and seasonal clean-up tasks.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to high standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is highly desirable.
Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of power tools, irrigation systems, and heavy machinery such as excavators.
Familiarity with hand tools used in gardening and construction work.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, digging, and operating machinery safely.
Knowledge of horticultural principles and plant care practices is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining outdoor environments.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions.
Relevant certifications or licences for operating machinery (e.g., excavator licence) are preferred but not essential. This role provides an engaging environment for individuals passionate about outdoor work, offering opportunities for skill development across landscaping, construction, and horticulture disciplines while contributing positively to community spaces.

Pay: £20.00-£21.00 per hour
