Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber/Pipefitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across various commercial and industrial sites. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing and mechanical systems, along with the ability to work safely and efficiently in a dynamic environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with practical experience in welding, carpentry, and the use of hand and power tools to contribute to high-quality projects.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain piping systems using appropriate tools and techniques
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Weld pipes and fittings as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete tasks accurately
Perform mechanical assembly of piping components and related infrastructure
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues or hazards within piping systems
Assist in the construction of structural supports for pipes and related equipment
Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely in accordance with health and safety regulations
Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times
Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently

Qualifications

Proven experience in plumbing, pipefitting, or related trades
Skilled in welding techniques relevant to pipework installation
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly processes
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and safety standards
Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
Experience with carpentry or structural support installation is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
Valid driving licence for commercial driving is desirable but not essential
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
