The Role

The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the staff engaged in fulfilling the goals and objectives of their assigned Procurement function This position is responsible for ensuring the ships operation is not interrupted by the delivery of technical goods and services to the vessels

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Organizes manages and directs the work of the employees in their assigned procurement function; overseeing the assignment of duties

responsibilities and workstations to employees
KPIs & sharing best practices
Coordinates personnel actions such as new hire requests and terminations to ensure proper staffing; Provides objective feedback and development plans for employees

Provides management support

training and guidance to employees to ensure compliance to SOPs and Guidelines; Manages employee performance to ensure that goals and objectives are met
Responsible for the effective and efficient procurement execution and timely delivery of goods and services
Ensures that total costs are identified and optimal savings are realized throughout the entire purchasing process
and service
and acceptability of items to specifications; Prepares and issues Purchase Orders and Change Notices
Determines root cause of issues and implements corrective and preventative action
supplies and services from suppliers and contractors
internal customers and assigned area
Able to do international travel

Qualifications / Skills

8+ years combined experience in procurement technical operation

and performance management required
quality service standards alternate delivery systems and customer satisfaction evaluation
Ability to present initiatives and hold discussions at both Company Officer and President level
