Full job description

MAIN PURPOSE:

To ensure all areas of the home are clean and tidy

SCOPE OF THE JOB:

Work as a team under the supervision of the Housekeeper, the Care Manager and Proprietors.
The Domestic is part of the care team and as such will have some contact with the service users. The Domestic must maintain a friendly character when working with or near the service users.
He/ she must be self motivated and be able to organise his/ her workload

MAIN DUTIES

To ensure you work efficiently and follow cleaning schedules which must be completed and signed for whilst you are on duty. Clean areas in time allowed.
Vacuum/ wash floors, dust and clean ALL surfaces and ornaments in all rooms.
To wipe/ clean service users’ bed tables.
To clean thoroughly all baths, sinks, toilets and disinfect daily.
To remove stains from carpets, and clean everyday where necessary.
To clean all chairs and mirrors.
To empty wastebaskets and waste bins.
To ensure policies and procedures of the home are followed at all times.
To clean all high and low areas as required.
Keep corridors and fire doors clear
Attend to laundry
Leave equipment in tidy and safe condition in accordance with C.O.S.H.H rules.
To have a knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety, Infection Control, C.O.S.H.H. and Manual Handling
To attend mandatory training and any training sessions as directed by the Housekeeper.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.75 per hour
