Front of House / Receptionist – Nail Salon

Job Overview

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to be the welcoming face of our nail salon. In this customer-focused role, you will ensure every client enjoys a relaxing and professional experience from the moment they arrive until they leave. You will manage appointments, provide excellent customer service, and support the smooth day-to-day running of the salon.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent organisational skills, and thrives in a fast-paced beauty environment.

Responsibilities

Welcome clients warmly and create a friendly, professional first impression.
Manage salon bookings, appointments, and walk-in enquiries using the salon booking system.
Answer phone calls, emails, and social media enquiries promptly and professionally.
Check clients in and out, process payments, and maintain accurate client records.
Offer refreshments and ensure clients feel comfortable during their visit.
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the reception area and waiting space.
Assist with retail sales by recommending and promoting salon products where appropriate.
Coordinate with nail technicians to ensure appointments run smoothly and efficiently.
Handle client enquiries and resolve any concerns professionally to ensure a positive experience.
Assist with stock management, including monitoring retail products and salon supplies.
Support the team with general administrative tasks and contribute to the overall smooth operation of the salon.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a receptionist, front of house, retail, hospitality, or customer service role is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, approachable manner.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy salon environment.
Confident using booking systems, computers, and card payment terminals (training can be provided).
A professional appearance and positive attitude.
Ability to work well as part of a team while also using initiative.
A passion for beauty, wellness, or the nail industry is desirable.
Sales experience or confidence recommending retail products is an advantage.
