At Novem, we're looking for an ambitious Sales Development Representative (SDR) to play a key role in our continued growth. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Managed Service Provider (MSP), working alongside our Marketing and Commercial teams to generate high-quality sales opportunities, engage prospective customers, and support strategic growth initiatives.

The Role

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective customers, nurturing marketing-generated leads, and supporting campaigns that generate new business opportunities.

Working closely with both the Marketing Manager and Commercial team, you'll play an important role in converting Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), driving attendance at events and webinars, and helping develop targeted account-based marketing initiatives.

This role offers the opportunity to influence and shape lead generation activities while contributing directly to Novem's continued commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn and other channels.
Identify, engage and qualify prospective customers against agreed criteria.
Book qualified meetings and opportunities for the Commercial team.
Nurture marketing-generated leads and convert MQLs into SQLs through effective follow-up and engagement.
Support and promote webinars, events, and strategic marketing campaigns to maximise registrations and attendance.
Conduct research into target accounts, industries, and key decision-makers.
Support Account Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives and targeted outreach campaigns.
Build and maintain prospect databases aligned to Novem's ideal customer profile.
Manage outreach sequences and follow-up activities to maximise conversion rates.
Maintain accurate records and activity data within the CRM system.
Report on prospecting activity, campaign performance and lead progression.
Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to support sales and marketing strategies.
Collaborate with Account Managers and the wider Commercial team to identify growth and referral opportunities.
Contribute ideas and recommendations to continuously improve lead generation and customer acquisition activities.

About You

We're looking for someone who is proactive, driven, and confident engaging with business leaders and decision-makers.

You'll ideally have:

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a Sales Development Representative, Business Development, Inside Sales, Lead Generation or similar role.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience of outbound prospecting and lead qualification.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Commercial awareness and a results-focused mindset.
Experience using CRM systems to manage leads and pipeline activity.
A positive, resilient and self-motivated approach.

Desirable

Experience within an MSP, IT Services, Technology or Cyber Security environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft technologies and managed services.
Experience supporting marketing campaigns, webinars or events.
Familiarity with Account Based Marketing (ABM) approaches.
