Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and metal fabrication, with a keen eye for detail and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the creation of high-quality metal structures and components. Candidates should be committed to precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement in their craft.

Duties

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Perform various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and arc welding to assemble and repair metal components.
Fabricate metal parts by cutting, shaping, and assembling materials using hand tools and machinery.
Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and adherence to safety standards.
Maintain and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all tools are in good working order.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
Assist in the development of fabrication processes to improve efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a welder or fabricator within a manufacturing or construction environment.
Proficiency in various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding and metal fabrication.
Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Relevant certifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Welding or Fabrication are desirable but not essential.
Physical fitness to handle lifting heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
