Job description
SFX Trade is a well-established company based in Waterlooville industrial estate which supplies high quality UPVC windows, conservatory roofs, doors, trims, cladding and fixings etc. to the trade and public.
We are now looking for a new, full time staff member with driving and warehouse experience to join our small, friendly team at our Trade Counter.

The Role
The role of a Warehouse Assistant/Driver is a busy and varied role. It can also be physically demanding at times. The description below provides a general outline of the job but is not exhaustive.
- Deliveries outwards – delivering orders to customers, loading the van and preparing delivery paperwork
- Deliveries inwards – safely unloading deliveries (some heavy lifting required)
- Assisting customers over the phone, face to face and email
- Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing customers
- Processing and managing quotations and orders for Trade Counter products
- General administration work
- General warehouse and yard maintenance; cleaning and tidying

Hours
This is a full-time role. Hours worked will be 07:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

We shut down for Christmas and for a long weekend at Easter. We do not open on bank holidays.

The Ideal Person
Essential Skills:
- Full, clean driving license to provide cover for deliveries
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Punctual, reliable and polite
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Able to use your own initiative
- Confident telephone manner and good IT skills
- Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Fast learner with a desire to develop own knowledge
- Confident, enthusiastic, good sense of humour
- Ability to work alone or as part of a small team
Desirable Skills:
- Category C1 license to drive a 7.5T vehicle
- Forklift license
- Warehouse experience

- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays pro rata
- Holiday bonus of one extra day on yearly anniversary, up to a maximum of 5 additional days.
- No weekend working

- Staff socials: staff lunches on Mondays if previous week's target is hit. If target is hit four weeks in a row, staff get a free meal out together.
