Job Introduction

Children's Residential Care - Team Leader - Full-Time

Hours: 40 hours per week (including weekends, sleep-ins and shifts)

Pay rate: Hourly rate of £17.10 and sleep-in rate paid at £70.50 per night.

Location: St Albans

We are looking for caring and committed Team Leaders to join our team in Silver Birch Care (Residential Services). This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people in a safe, stable, and nurturing home environment where they can grow, develop, and achieve positive outcomes.

About the Role

As a Team Leader, you will support the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring that high standards of care are consistently delivered. You will help lead the team and create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing a safe, supportive, and child-centred environment
Leading shifts and guiding care staff
Supporting care planning, record-keeping, and reporting
Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
Promoting independence and positive outcomes for young people

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 1 year experience in residential childcare
Experience working within an Ofsted-regulated children’s home
Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Residential Care (required)
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child-centred practice
A positive, resilient, and committed approach
Full UK driving licence (preferred)
