Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where excellent communication and organisational skills are valued. Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred, along with a passion for providing outstanding guest services.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Ensure all health and safety standards, including food safety regulations, are adhered to at all times
Clear tables promptly and assist with setting up for subsequent service periods
Handle guest queries or complaints professionally, aiming for swift resolution
Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as needed during busy periods
Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including tables, counters, and utensils

Experience

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving techniques and guest engagement
Ability to perform basic maths for billing and transactions accurately
Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner
