Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant/Fryer to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in food preparation and frying, ensuring that all dishes meet high standards of quality and safety. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about cooking and eager to develop their skills within a dynamic restaurant environment. The role involves assisting with meal preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the culinary team to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards
Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Cook food items, ensuring proper temperature and presentation
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
Support the kitchen team during busy periods by preparing ingredients and managing orders
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Assist with general cleaning duties within the kitchen area, including waste disposal and surface sanitisation

Experience

Prior experience in food preparation or working within a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting will be considered a plus
Familiarity with meal preparation, cooking techniques, and serving procedures is beneficial
Enthusiasm for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills are highly valued

This role offers an excellent platform for those looking to gain practical experience in the hospitality industry while contributing to a vibrant team dedicated to delivering quality food service.

You will be available for shifts between 3pm and 9pm 7days a week, days off can be arranged to suit other team members.

Pay: £12.21 per hour
