About us

Ascent Properties is a leading commercial property investment and management company.

We have a wealth of experience and a proven track record in sourcing property investment opportunities, refurbishing buildings, letting space and property management.

We currently own and manage a growing portfolio, including serviced offices, retail space and industrial units, located across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing business with excellent career progression and a flat management structure.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

Caretaker for industrial estate comprising industrial units, serviced office business centre and car parking area.
You will be responsible for the smooth day to day operation of the site and offices, ensuring the site is well maintained, clean, fully functional and health and safety compliant. You will also check the meter reading regularly, assist with post and check the property is secure. You will manage site contractors as required.
You will be the friendly, professional first point of contact for customers. You will assist in conducting tenant viewings, check-ins/inventories, comms patching, check-outs and chasing debtors along with managing any tenant issues.
You will be responsible for cleaning the internal communal areas of the serviced office business centre including building entrance, corridors, kitchens, toilets, meeting room and empty offices. Also the external areas including sweeping and litter picking in the car park. And putting all rubbish in the bins for collection. Along with ordering cleaning supplies.
You will carry out general light maintenance including office reinstatement and general handyman work. Within the offices including painting and decorating, changing locks, and preparing offices for incoming tenants. And over the estate including trimming any weeds or overgrowing vegetation.
You will undertake regular patrols of the car park, speaking with tenants or others who have parked incorrectly and issuing appropriate enforcement notices to vehicles.
You will communicate regularly with head office to provide updates or if further assistance is required.

Candidate Specification:

You have previous experience in caretaking or a site/estate supervisor role.
You have a general understanding of Health and Safety practices.
You have a warm, friendly and engaging manner.
Customer service is something you really enjoy and you’re good at dealing with all sorts of people especially face-to-face.
You have good communication skills and work well as part of a team or on your own.
You’re a multi-tasker who can work well under pressure and uses proactivity and initiative.
You’re organised and able to manage workload with minimal supervision and enjoy variety in your day.
You'll have an eye for detail, high standards and take pride in your work.
You are local to Abingdon Industrial Estate.

Pay: £850.00-£900.00 per month
