Job Introduction

Building Surveyor

Salary - £44,075 - £49,282 (Grade 7)

Hours - 37 hours per week

Contract type - full time, permanent

Work Style - Flexible

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Building Surveyor to join our team which is responsible for planning, implementation and monitoring of repairs, maintenance and minor work programmes for Council Buildings and Schools. You will work in a team who plan, preparation, implementation and monitoring of the Council’s repair, maintenance, and minor works programmes to meet corporate and client requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

A degree in Building Surveying or equivalent
Ideally working towards or holding MCIOB/MRICS
Suitable post qualification maintenance, minor projects work experience, including NBS costings and be competent in Auto CAD.
Aware of current legislation particularly fire risks associated with buildings
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empower employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location.
