About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior IT Support Manager who can take ownership of our IT support function. You are not just fixing tickets; you are improving how people work, how systems perform, and how technical issues are prevented before they slow the business down. You will lead support processes, guide junior team members, and work closely with operations, customer service, and management teams to keep technology dependable and user friendly.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Support Leadership: Manage daily IT support operations, assign priorities, monitor ticket resolution, and ensure technical issues are handled professionally and on time.

Team Guidance: Support, train, and mentor junior IT support staff. Help the team improve troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and service quality.

Systems Administration: Oversee user accounts, permissions, devices, software access, email systems, and internal IT platforms.

Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve escalated hardware, software, network, cloud, and application issues across the business.

Process Improvement: Review recurring issues, improve support workflows, create documentation, and recommend better tools or procedures.

Security and Compliance: Support basic cyber security practices, access controls, data protection procedures, software updates, and safe use of company systems.

Vendor Coordination: Work with external IT vendors, internet providers, software suppliers, and hardware partners when required.

Stakeholder Communication: Explain technical problems and solutions clearly to non technical users, department heads, and management.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience: 5 plus years in IT support, technical support, systems administration, or service desk operations, with at least 1 to 2 years in a senior or team lead role.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows systems, basic networking, device management, user access control, helpdesk systems, and cloud based tools.

Leadership Ability: You can guide a small support team, set priorities, review performance, and help others improve.

Problem Solving: You can identify root causes, not just temporary fixes. You are calm under pressure and practical when systems are down.

Communication: You can speak with technical and non technical users clearly, professionally, and patiently.

Mindset: You are service focused, organised, reliable, and proactive. You understand that good IT support is about keeping people productive, not just closing tickets.

Pay: £4,000.00-£4,500.00 per month
