Transport Manager

Location: Tipton
Company: Morris Recycling Ltd
Job Type: Full-Time
Hours: 45 hours per week

Morris Recycling Ltd is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join our dedicated team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone with a strong background in transport planning and a solid understanding of the Waste or Recycling Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate daily workloads and routes for drivers, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
Manage external transport arrangements and liaise with a wide range of suppliers.
Operate vehicle tracking and tachograph software; download and analyse driver and vehicle tacho data in line with VOSA regulations.
Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced according to legal and company standards. Understanding of the recycling or waste industry is essential,
Adhere to our Environmental Agency (EA) permit requirements.
Handle inbound and outbound calls with suppliers and customers professionally.
Monitor and update supplier communications to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

Key Skills

Transport Manager CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) desirable but not essential
Excellent communication skills

Willing to learn & adapt
