Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Charity Shop Volunteers to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute positively to the community by supporting our charitable initiatives. As a volunteer, you will be an essential part of our organisation, helping to create a welcoming environment for customers and ensuring the smooth operation of the shop.

Duties

Assisting customers with their purchases and providing excellent customer service
Handling cash register operations and processing sales accurately
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the shop environment
Supporting stock management, including receiving
Providing general administrative support as needed
Promoting the charity’s mission and encouraging community engagement

Requirements

Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner
Basic IT skills for operating cash registers, managing stock records, or data entry tasks
Ability to work as part of a team but also independently when required
Reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting charitable causes
Willingness to undertake training related to shop operations
Ability to commit to either a 10.00-13.00 shift or a 13.00-16.00 shift

This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking meaningful volunteer work that develops organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills while making a positive impact within the community. As we are a very small team, independent (not lone) working will be required so any applicants will need to be confident with this aspect of retail work.

Pay: From £0.01 per year
