Full job description

Plumber (Gas Safe Registered), Heritage Conversion Project, Bath

Fixed term contract, 2 month. £200 per day (subject to experience).

The client is converting a Grade II listed Georgian townhouse in central Bath into five one bedroom flats. We need an experienced plumber to lead the services infrastructure from the basement meters up to all five flats, starting around the utility companies have completed their connections.

The work includes: full new gas installation from the meters, rising through a ventilated fire rated casing in the communal stairwell in accordance with BS 6891; new hot and cold water services to each flat; gas combination boiler installations; and marking out all pipe routes for our stonemasons, who will carry out any chasing into walls. This is a listed building, so no cutting into historic fabric yourself; routes are agreed and set out jointly on site.

Requirements: Gas Safe registered with domestic qualifications, experience in period or listed buildings preferred, comfortable working to an agreed schedule of works alongside other trades.
