Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists during patient treatments, ensuring a high standard of patient care and comfort. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare and patient wellbeing, with responsibilities spanning clinical assistance, patient communication, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised.
Provide compassionate care and support to patients before, during, and after treatments, ensuring their comfort and understanding of procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, including updating treatment notes and scheduling appointments.
Ensure the clinical environment adheres to health and safety standards, including infection control protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures clearly and answering any questions they may have.
Organise appointment schedules efficiently to optimise patient flow and practice operations.
Support administrative duties such as managing stock levels of dental supplies and maintaining cleanliness within the clinical area.

Requirements

Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare setting, preferably in dentistry or nursing.
Excellent communication skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
Good IT skills to manage electronic health records and practice management software.
Knowledge of infection control procedures relevant to dental practice.
Ability to work well as part of a team and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
Relevant nursing qualification recognised within the UK healthcare system. This role is suitable for motivated individuals committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a professional setting.
