Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in the care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, and promoting their wellbeing. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those passionate about caring for others and looking to make a positive difference in people's lives. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, be reliable, and have a genuine interest in delivering person-centred care.

Responsibilities

Assisting residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Supporting individuals with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
Implementing and following care plans tailored to each individual's needs
Monitoring and reporting on residents’ health status and any changes in condition
Engaging in meaningful activities to enhance mental and emotional wellbeing
Maintaining accurate records of care provided using IT systems
Communicating effectively with residents, family members, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery

Experience

Must have working care experience
Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively
Familiarity with basic IT systems for documentation purposes
Good command of English, both written and spoken, for clear communication
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with residents and their families
NVQ level 2 in health & social care or care certificate
Excellent communication skills, patience, and empathy are essential qualities for success in this role

Pay: £12.71 per hour
