Part-time | £14.85–£17 p/h incl. tronc

We’re looking for a confident, calm, and fast Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team at Ria’s.

At Ria’s, we’re all about deep-pan pizza, natural wine, and genuine hospitality in neighbourhood spaces that feel like home. We believe in building strong teams, doing things properly, and creating brilliant guest experiences every day.

This is a great opportunity if you love kitchen, enjoy working as part of a team in a fast paced service environment and want to learn how to move into a Pizza Chef role.

What you’ll do

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, pot wash, and storage areas
Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently throughout service
Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, portioning, and labelling ingredients
Ensure bins are emptied regularly and waste is managed correctly
Receive and organise deliveries following stock rotation procedures (FIFO)
Keep floors, surfaces, fridges, and equipment clean and compliant with hygiene standards
Assist with opening and closing cleaning duties
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times
Support the kitchen team during busy service periods with general operational tasks
Maintain a positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic within the team

Good communication and teamwork skills
