Job Title: Doggy Daycare Handler

Job Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and passionate Doggy Daycare Handler to join our team! This self employed role involves driving the company van and safely transporting dogs to and from daycare, ensuring their well-being during travel, and providing fun and engaging time at daycare. If you love working with dogs and enjoy being outdoors, this could be the perfect job for you!

Pay: £12.25-£12.71 ph

Hours: Two days a week (Flexible - TBA at interview)

Key Responsibilities:

Safely collect and drop off dogs from clients’ homes to our daycare facility.
Ensure all dogs are secured correctly in the vehicle and travel comfortably.
Supporting with group play sessions and activities.
Monitor and manage dog behaviour, ensuring a positive experience for all.
Provide basic care such as wiping muddy paws, refilling water bowls, and giving treats as needed.
Communicate with clients about their dogs’ activities and well-being.
Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle and doggy daycare environment.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years driving experience, a full clean UK driving license and DBS check.
Must live local to Tunbridge Wells and know the local area.
Must have experience handling multiple dogs of various breeds and sizes.
A passion for animal welfare and confidence in managing dog behaviour.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
A responsible, punctual, and professional attitude.

Preferred but Not Essential:

Previous experience in dog daycare, walking, or animal care.
Canine first aid certification.
Knowledge of dog behaviour and training techniques.
