Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Criminal Defence team. The successful candidate will provide essential support in legal research, document preparation, and case management. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their legal career within a professional environment. The Paralegal will be responsible for assisting solicitors with various administrative a. Strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Prepare and organise legal documents, including briefs
Manage case files and maintain accurate records of case progress
Assist with the drafting of correspondence
Schedule appointments, court dates, and meetings using organisational tools such as Microsoft Outlook
Liaise with clients, witnesses, and external agencies in a professional manner
Ensure compliance with deadlines and procedural requirements
Support lawyers during court proceedings and client meetings as needed
Utilise Microsoft Word and Excel to create reports, spreadsheets, and documentation
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times

Experience

Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar legal support role is preferred but not mandatory
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential
Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software programmes quickly
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Demonstrated time management skills to meet tight deadlines
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £24,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
