Role Overview

We are looking for an ambitious, highly organised, and reliable Production Assistant to work directly with our Production Director at our manufacturing facilities in Westbury, Wiltshire. This high-visibility role is ideal for a driven individual who wants to help build, scale, and professionalise our growing number plate business.

You will begin on the shop floor, receiving close, hands-on mentorship to master our core printing processes, premium assembly lines, including 3D gel and 4D acrylic finishing, and substrate components. Once you are confident in day-to-day operations, your focus will broaden into business management. You will work directly with the Director to design, oversee, and implement workflow improvements. If you are a proactive problem-solver who can follow strict legal and quality standards, manage daily operations, and identify ways to improve speed and efficiency, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

· Process & Change Implementation: Review current manufacturing workflows, identify bottlenecks, design operational improvements, and oversee their successful rollout on the shop floor.

· Printing & Laser Functions: Manage the printing of legal reflective backings and operate specialist equipment for laser-cutting 4D characters.

· Assembly & Quality Control: Assemble, align, and bond premium number plates by hand, ensuring complete precision and strict compliance with standards.

· Business Growth Support: Support the Director in scaling production capacity for new trade accounts, e-commerce volumes, and order fulfilment.

· Workplace Organisation: Create and maintain clear housekeeping and organisational systems to optimise stock levels for components, acrylics, and film while keeping the workshop clean and orderly.

· High Trust & Communication: Comfortable working closely with the Director, following direct instruction, and knowing when to suggest proactive improvements.

Pay: £28,500.00-£32,500.00 per year
