Office Administrator

Location: Abbots Leigh, Bristol (Head Office – office based role)

Hours: Part‑time, 22.5 hours per week (Monday, Thursday and Friday 9am-5pm)
Contract: Permanent

Freeways is a local charity that supports adults with learning disabilities. We are passionate about helping people to become as independent as possible by supporting them to make choices, learn new skills and build links within their community.

We are looking for a confident, approachable and reliable Office Administrator to be a key part of the day to day running of our office on a part-time basis.

The Role

You will be the first point of contact for our Head Office, providing vital administrative support that helps our charity run efficiently and professionally. You will be able to communicate clearly, build positive relationships and handle enquires in a professional and friendly way.

What You’ll Be Doing

Office Support: Managing day‑to‑day administrative tasks, emails, post, and documentation.
Front‑of‑House Duties: Welcoming visitors, handling calls, and maintaining a positive and professional reception environment.
Head Office Support: Supporting with room bookings, training administration support and room set up, meeting organisation (both virtual and office based), minute‑taking, and preparing documents. Supporting the HR and Finance administrative functions as required.
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate files and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
Resource Management: Overseeing office supplies, equipment, and general facilities coordination.
Health and Safety: Co-ordinating head office fire drills and lighting checks. Maintaining the first aid kit for the office and acting as Fire Warden.

About You

As an experienced administrator or office coordinator, you will bring:

Strong organisational skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
Great verbal and written communication: A friendly, confident and professional approach when dealing with staff, visitors, and external partners.
IT confidence: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (in particular Word and Excel) with the ability to learn and use new systems.
Values that align with social care: Respect, dignity, and a commitment to supporting the work of a charitable organisation.
