Full job description

We are a well-established fruit farming business looking for an experienced and organised Purchase & Sales Ledger Clerk / Accounts Assistant to join our friendly office team.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a flexible part-time role within a supportive business. You'll play an important part in the smooth running of our finance function, with a varied workload and the opportunity to work independently while being part of a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

Processing supplier purchase invoices accurately and promptly.
Raising and processing customer sales invoices.
Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining purchase and sales ledgers.
Investigating and resolving supplier and customer invoice queries.
Assisting with stock reporting and stock administration.
Supporting month-end processes and general accounts administration.
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring information is up to date.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has previous experience in a Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeping role.
Is confident working with accounting software (experience with any accounting package is welcome, Key Accounts in particular).
Has good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Has excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Can prioritise their workload and work independently.
Has strong communication skills and enjoys building positive relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues.
Is reliable, proactive and takes pride in producing accurate work.
