About the Role
As a Groundworker – Civils & Drainage Team, you will support a variety of groundworks, drainage, and civil engineering projects across commercial and domestic sites. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in accurate, tidy, safe, and reliable work.
You will be part of a busy operational team where your workmanship directly supports the successful delivery of drainage installations, reinforced concrete works, kerbing, paving, ducting, footings, and excavation projects.
This role is well suited to someone with proven civils experience who wants steady work, varied projects, additional hours where available, and opportunities to build further qualifications within a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintaining safe working practices around excavations, confined spaces, services, plant, and moving vehicles.
- Communicating clearly with supervisors, site managers, clients, and other trades.
- Reporting progress, delays, defects, risks, and site issues promptly.
- Keeping work areas organised, safe, and professional.
- Wearing full PPE and following all company and site health and safety requirements.
- Representing Express Solutions Group professionally on every site.
-

- A driving record suitable for commercial insurance purposes.
- Confidence operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Good understanding of daily vehicle checks, defect reporting, and road safety.
- Strong awareness of health and safety in operational environments.
- Ability to complete accurate job paperwork and compliance records.
- Good communication skills with colleagues, supervisors, clients, and site teams.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work.
- Right to live and work in the UK.
