Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy restaurant environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents, contribute to creating exceptional experiences, and develop your career within a reputable establishment. The Chef de Partie will be responsible for managing specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food safety, presentation, and quality are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
Oversee the preparation of ingredients for assigned sections, maintaining organisation and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities.
Assist in training junior kitchen staff and provide guidance to ensure smooth workflow during service periods.
Collaborate with the head chef and other team members to develop new menu items and improve existing dishes.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your work station at all times, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Monitor stock levels within your section and communicate needs for ordering supplies in a timely manner.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills with a good understanding of meal preparation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices applicable to commercial kitchens.
Previous experience working in a restaurant setting is highly desirable.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service hours.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff.
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or public holidays as required. Due to the location of the pub we ask that candidates only apply if they have their own transport as we cannot rely on the buses to Georgeham.
