Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality and culinary sectors, whether you have prior restaurant, hotel, or catering experience or are eager to develop your skills in a professional setting. All roles are paid, recognising the importance of every team member's contribution.

Responsibilities

Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to maintain a safe and organised kitchen environment.
Supporting the storage of supplies and ingredients in designated areas following health and safety regulations.
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently and responsibly.
Supporting chefs during busy service periods by providing necessary assistance as required.
Adhering to all health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided for suitable candidates eager to learn.
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, or hospitality operations is beneficial.
Experience serving customers or working within a hospitality setting can enhance your understanding of service standards.
A proactive attitude with willingness to support team members in a fast-paced environment is essential. This role offers an excellent pathway into the hospitality industry for those passionate about food service and customer care. Pay: £12.21-£17.90 per hour
