Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives by delivering personalised care with respect and professionalism. The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills, be IT literate, and have a genuine desire to assist others in maintaining their independence and well-being.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Support clients in adhering to personalised care plans, ensuring their needs are met effectively
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
Help with meal preparation and light domestic tasks as required
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and documentation tools
Support clients with medication reminders and health monitoring where appropriate
Facilitate communication between clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care delivery
Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary, ensuring safe transportation

Qualifications

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and following care plans
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
